Ginza’s Elevated Elegance: Discover the Chic & Affordable BAR S

Our friend pointed us to this bar in Ginza called BAR S, and wow, it looks great! Picture this: you’re in Tokyo, looking for that perfect spot to chill after a day of exploring or shopping. That’s where BAR S comes into the picture, sitting pretty on the 11th floor of the Tokyo Ginza Shiseido Building. Yeah, that Shiseido, the big beauty brand that’s been around since 1872. It’s super easy to get to as well, just a quick walk from the Ginza or Shimbashi stations.

Once you’re there, you’ve got choices. You can hang at the bar, grab a table, or sink into a sofa. It’s all about what vibe you’re feeling. They’ve got these unique drinks and appetizers that you won’t find just anywhere.

BAR S has this cool thing where they change up their cocktails with the seasons. So, you might drop in during their ‘Autumn Cocktail Fair’ and get to taste something like a cocktail made with fresh Japanese pears or something warm and spicy with vodka when it’s cold out. It’s like they’ve got a new surprise waiting every time you visit.

And even though it’s in one of those fancy buildings in Ginza, it doesn’t feel stuffy or too posh. It’s actually quite the spot to relax, especially after you’ve been on your feet all day shopping or sightseeing. They even have this special menu during happy hour from 3pm to 7pm, where you can get drinks and snacks on the cheap. It’s perfect for when you want to enjoy the fancy Ginza vibe without emptying your wallet.

But, just a heads up, they’re only open on weekdays and stay up till 3:00 am, so plan accordingly. It’s a bummer they’re closed on weekends, but it makes the weekdays feel extra special.

In short, BAR S is that spot our friend recommended for when you’re in Ginza and looking for a place that’s got style without being over-the-top expensive. It’s got great views, delicious seasonal cocktails, and a happy hour that’s actually happy for your bank account too. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, it’s definitely worth checking out for a taste of Tokyo’s night life without the usual hefty price tag.
